On April 20, 2026, the Sid Pilgrim Award was presented to Peter Whitcomb at the Sunrise Shack Restaurant in Glen, NH. The award was intended to be presented at the 2026 Winter SSSNNE meeting; however, Peter couldn’t attend at the last minute. Tom Carr and Joe Homer surprised Peter with the award at a regular breakfast meet up of retired NRCS soil scientists this spring.
